![]() They may be indicative of underlying issues. And skin problems, including extreme under eye circles, should actually be evaluated by a doctor. The average woman does not even use foundation. I hope you have more important things upon which to unleash your wrath. You are trying to make up arguments because people called you out on your rude comment. OP wanted to get opinions on a product before they bought it. Nowhere in this entire thread did anyone EVER say that the average woman needs to color correct. Some people don’t mind taking the extra 30 seconds to color correct certain bad areas. You are correct, no one actually needs this product. You also say the average woman does not need this. Your use of straw man arguments is astounding. That’s okay, but it’s also okay to want to cover up.Ĭolor correcting is just one beauty method. You don’t know what people have done to fix their skin. And telling people with a little more discoloration that they NEED TO GO SEE A DOCTOR TO FIX IT is absolutely unwarranted and rude. Not everyone needs to color correct, but some people do to cover more severe discoloration. It makes it so you have to use less layers instead of going over one spot with a regular concealer multiple times. A small amount of color corrector to the desired areas will help to conceal them before you use foundation. That’s not how these are meant to be used though. I have seen people try to color correct by caking on these colors and then trying to conceal them. But maybe, just maybe, people actually ENJOY wearing makeup, and color correcting does work if used conservatively. ![]() You are indeed being very rude because you are insinuating that people who use color correcting are stupid and being preyed on by cosmetic companies. Besides, what is the likelihood that the same face would need green, peach, yellow AND violet? Why buy all these colors? You're going to use one more than the other, hit pan, and then have to buy a whole new palette to get the one shade. I will continue to believe that these color correction palettes are a gimmick by cosmetic companies to sell women products that feed off their insecurities. The person is much better relying on NEUTRAL foundation, concealer, and powder applied in thin layers. These color corrector products have been around in one form or another for decades in powder, cream and liquid form. They need a makeup artist to help them with their eyes and skin as toxins get put in their veins - chemo is toxic. Seeing a makeup artist can be part of the recovery process from a mental health perspective, just as it is when women lose their hair during cancer treatment. I've seen what the dermatologists and cosmetic surgeons can do. One of the questions they ask as they heal is how horrible they are going to look. I have seen lots of people with injuries that caused horrific scarring. ![]() I've never seen green or violet work in a meaningful way. I've seen people do the Bobbi Brown corrector layer and that sometimes works and sometimes looks worse. If your undereyes are that dark, I would see a dermatologist. Then you have to pile on concealer to cover the color. If you apply green lightly, what's the point? If you apply it generously you will have green blotches that look strange. There is no way these colors look natural in natural light or HD. Do you work for NYX by any chance? Extra coverage is not a bizarre color. ![]() You're not entitled to attack me personally.
